Holiday 5 Jul - 12 Jul 2003
Hillsong Conferences
21000 delegate and 2763 volunteer gather at Sydney Superdome. On 5 Jul, I travel on flight with Lawrence and Kenneth. We had great trip to Sydney. After check in at Aaron’s Hotel, slowly the rest of the group members came. But before the come, we have litter time to spend, so we meet up with Josephine, Melissa, Meng Kit and Vania. We went for lunch at Mother Chu, such a disappointment that we got for the service and behavior.

Jennifer then check in at 3:30pm then continue with Michelle travel from New Castle who change her mind to stay with us after many times convincing her. We spend the whole evening at Market City and shop around at Hay Market. We got excited with things that we can’t get in Brisbane like displaying bra for sale at the open market concept.

Lung, John, Julies and Pearl arrived after 12 hours of driving. We then dine in at this restaurant for dinner. Later at night, we decided walk to Start City. The journey walking there is good but we lost our way on the way home. Thank God that we keep walking and some how we back to hotel.

On the next day, we went to The Rock, there they have coffee festival. We were squeezing through those people who endure themselves with high caffeine. Ha! That was the day when I found that you could only travel with someone who you not just click with, but also easygoing person.

7 Jul was the day that we are waiting for, we found the way to the place where we going to work hard for the next 5 days. We went for briefing after we had our name register. I was in Michael’s team at Main Arena. I don’t know whether I was so being trust or what… I was always on Gate 13, which is almost behind stage and seldom people want to sit there.

But anyway, the next few days were good. I learn so much about attitude. I can be a person of encourager and also people of discourage. Even though I have 4 hours sleep every night, but put a big smile on our face is far more important feeling tired every morning when we start our duty.

They are so many good speakers around and I hardly sit in for the sermon, mainly because I was physically tired and usually I will just fall asleep at far corner of the arena. When the sermon finish, we all will awake again… and start the brand new section again.

My team has fewer of them end up didn’t turn up. Thank God that I have the rest of my friend who also in volunteer willing to help. They suppose to sit in for the service, but they choose to serve and this really make the whole team more effective in controlling the crowd. I really thank God for the group of friend that I have.
